University of Northampton: Entry Rules and Terms of Condition​
1. E-Poster

Entry to the e-poster competition is free.

The e-poster must be in English and A4 (portrait or landscape).

Entries must be designed by individual students attending secondary school years 7–11 or further education (sixth forms and colleges).​

2. E-Poster Submission
-
Entries must be submitted via email in PDF format, to the University of Northampton representative: stacie.gray@northampton.ac.uk.

Entries must be submitted between 13/1/25 and 17/2/25 (by 23:59 GMT) by a teaching member of the school.

Teachers may submit on behalf of multiple students, but only one e-poster per student is permitted.

The submitting teacher is responsible for ensuring that the submission meets competition rules, obtaining the school’s permission to participate and ensuring parental consent for participating students.

Files must be labelled to identify secondary school (SS) or further education (FE), school name and student’s first name only (e.g., SS, Burton School, Amy) / (e.g., FE Charwood College, James).

The organisers will process data in accordance with data protection legislation, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR. Data will not be used for any purpose other than administering the competition.

By entering the competition, the entrant retains design ownership, but agrees to grants the organisers an irrevocable non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the e-poster design for promotional/educational purposes, including but not limited to social media and websites.

An e-poster containing any potentially offensive material will be excluded from the competition. The organisers reserve the right to withdraw any submissions at their discretion.

The e-poster must be an original design created by the entrant. Any copyrighted images, text etc must have permission. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed to contain plagiarised content.
3. Prizes for the 2025 Winners*

1st place: £125 One for All Gamers Giftcard

2nd place: £70 One for All Gamers Giftcard

3rd place: £25 One for All Gamers Giftcard

All participants: digital certificate of participation

Prizes and digital certificates of participation will be sent to the teacher’s submission email for dissemination among winners and participating students.
*we reserve the right to make changes to the prize if required. Whilst we welcome applications outside of the United Kingdom our winning giftcards are limited to GBP.
4. Judging Criteria​

Creativity in approach – creativity and originality
-
Content – relevance of e-poster to the theme ‘Girls Can Game’
-
Design – visually appealing and engaging
-
While the criteria remain consistent across all levels, the expectations will differ for secondary school and further education entrants. Further education students are encouraged to demonstrate a more sophisticated levels of creativity, content and design.

The judging panel will comprise members from the organisers and an external industry representative.
5. Announcing the Winners

Winners will be announced and their e-posters shared via the organiser’s website by 1pm GMT, 21/2/25.

Entrant’s first name and school name will be announced on the organiser’s website and social media. If you do not want this data to be shared online, you should make this explicitly clear by including the following statement in your submission email:

“I wish for this submission to be treated anonymously, and do not consent to the sharing of the student’s name or school if their entry wins”.

Submitting teachers for the respective winners will be notified via email by 1pm GMT, 21/2/25. After confirming the notification, prizes will be sent to the submitting teachers via email for dissemination.

The organiser’s decision in respect of all competition matters, including winners, will be final.
6. Acceptance of Terms

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
7. Changes to Terms & Conditions and Limitation of Liability

The organisers reserve the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants via email or through the competition website.

The organisers will not be held liable for any failure to comply with these terms and conditions due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to, unforeseen disruptions.
